Our story

Ferta began with my fight to reclaim my body from a medical system that failed me.

At 14, my body began reacting to my own negligence. I stopped having a period entirely, and doctors handed me birth control pills as the solution.

They called it a fix, but it silenced the truth my body was screaming. For 13 years, I thought I was having normal periods, completely unaware that the monthly bleeding was nothing more than a “withdrawal bleed” caused by the sugar pills in each pack.

Everything changed when I met Alexander. After a college injury, he became fascinated by the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

He discovered the hidden key to health, and it’s not what doctors tell you.

Hormones don’t just control fertility, they rule your entire body.

And they’re the secret to fixing what’s really wrong.

He also realized that birth control wasn’t just a form of contraception; it was masking deeper issues while shutting down natural hormone production.

"I stopped taking birth control."

Motivated to take back control of my health, I stopped taking birth control. But my period didn’t return. I consulted multiple gynecologists across the U.S. and Asia, and every diagnosis was the same: PCOS. The only solution they were able to offer me was to go back on birth control. But the diagnosis didn’t match my symptoms, and I knew something was being overlooked.

It wasn’t until we found a functional doctor who actually listened and took a holistic, science-backed approach—combining thorough testing with genuine care—that we discovered the truth:

I had Hypothalamic Amenorrhea, not PCOS.

"My body simply didn’t feel safe enough to reproduce."

Years of undereating, over exercising, and pushing my body through relentless stress had taken a toll. Add to that:

My body simply didn’t feel safe enough to reproduce.

With the correct diagnosis, we finally had the answers we needed to start healing—not just my fertility, but my overall health. Together, Alexander and I immersed ourselves in fertility science, functional medicine, and root-cause healing. Through this process, I not only restored my periods but went on to have two healthy children—naturally.

Meet Our Team

Preethi | Co-Founder

After a 16-year journey dealing with multiple misdiagnoses, misinformation, and finally being correctly diagnosed with hypothalamic amenorrhea, Preethi discovered the power of addressing root causes in fertility health. A tech entrepreneur and mother of two, she successfully reversed her condition using integrative medicine and cutting-edge fertility science. Her transformation inspired her to co-found Ferta, where she helps women restore their fertility naturally without spending years searching for answers like she did.

Alexander | Co-Founder

Alexander’s journey began with his research into metabolic health and hormone optimization. His understanding of hormonal health helped Preethi overcome her fertility challenges and led to developing the “Metabolic Theory of Infertility,” which forms the foundation of Ferta’s approach. His expertise in both male and female fertility drives Ferta’s comprehensive protocols that address fertility as a holistic health marker.
